Hoorah proxies. Thousands and thousands of proxies.
I don't enjoy acting this way... But I do get a guilty pleasure from beating someone at their own game (being childish, in this case...)
Ok ok... Truly last post from me.

My god you are a pathetic little fucking cunt rag.
Your mother should have fucking swallowed you and saved us all a minor annoyance.

i had something worthwhile to say but then i remembered youre the cock who knocked lax.
die slowly.
lax- put the download behind a pasword protected page... no register, no download, and disable yahoo hotmail etc for registration email addresses.... thats how they kept a lot of asses out of emu. just a thought =)

Yeah, that does keep out a lot of asses, but it also keeps out people that just use yahoo or hotmail as their regular e-mail account (such as myself)....

I do agree that the download needs to be moved to where only registered users can get to it. Will take a look at it, but PhP isn't a strong point of mine.

Childish...
then CVS needs to be closed too, because you can download from there anonymous.
Download password could be usefull to lessen bandwith, but not to make a little personal war.
But I am glad that's not my decission...

if you need any help with a php registration/secure page with login and shiz I can hook that up for you. Just need MySQL as the backend and we are good.

Maybe I'm looking at this the wrong way, however I disagree that doing such (putting the download behing a password protected page, locking the cvs) would really be that much of a benefit. No matter what is done, those that are smart enough will get the information (as long as EVERYTHING isn't blocked to all but the devs) while some of the average users will just need more help.
Just a coupla thoughts, saw this thread while looking for info on the May 5th patch. Btw, I must say that this project has come far since the last time I used it, back in 2001/2002. Thanks for keeping it going!

I also disagree with putting it behind a registration page. Personally I hate having to register to download free software. Anyway locking this thread guys, sorry
