Not sure if this is a bug or not...

I just know Ive been fighting this forever. Everytime I have tried to use:

/if (${FindItem[Blessed Spiritstaff of the Heyokah].Timer}==0) /casting "Blessed Spiritstaff of the Heyokah" item
I get nothing... no error, no warning, no crash, no activation of the item. What I do get is a MQ2Cast loop effect. "using item ""Blessed Spiritstaff of the Heyokah" over and over, Evenutally the macro moves on.
How I corrected this issue, (I went old school on it)

/if (${FindItem[Blessed Spiritstaff of the Heyokah].Timer}==0) /itemnotify ${FindItem[Blessed Spiritstaff of the Heyokah].InvSlot} rightmouseup
the issue is, wiki suggested as examples.
/casting "Fabled Journeyman's Boots" item
/casting 68239|item
/casting "Shrunken Goblin Skull Earring" leftear
which none of these examples worked for me.
What I can say is, I always thought I was doing somthing wrong when I compiled.. nice to know I wasnt the one screwing up.

Wiki sucks. Try /useitem “blah staff”

Well... /useitem works both with and without the quotes now that DBG added this feature too.

This issue has been resolved with help from discord chat.
The issue came from the Macrquest config file under [Aliases]
anytime I used /useitem in a macro. The MQ2 window would echo the item instead of activating the item. Im not sure how it got added or which macro is the culprit. But its been a pain for far too long.
