I would like to help find offset values for the structs, however I do not know what code goes to wich structs. I would assume that i could just look up a a coresponding line of code with a hex editor, and edit the structs with the correct offset, unless the code has been changed, then i would have no idea what to do. If someone could post a list of scructs--> code i would be very greatfull. <i can't find out these values for myself atm, already downloaded the patch> Yes Yes i rtfm, tried search ect. if it's in there i missed, so please. no flames. I'm a mechanic not a software engineer, so if i have this wrong in my head don't hate on me!

Too bad offsets will not fix MQ2.....

You need tools to work on memory offsets... some of which you will need to write yourself. Hex editor is useless. You need IDA Pro (which costs about $500 US)

Like I have posted many times... offsets are half the job on patchday. The other half is figuring out the new memory structors and testing.

Everyone and thier brother wants to help find offsets. Everyone and thier brother needs to start by searching these forums. There are at least 4 good posts on how to find offsets.

Consider that eqgame.h has over 550 lines, I estimate that it will have over 400 offsets. Now consider that finding all 400+ offsets will not fix MQ2.

thanks, yes it is alot of work, I just need to take it one step at a time, learn something new every day, and mabey someday i will understand as a whole how this and other programs work. Anyway, did the copy paste routine ect. got MQ too work again, then another patch! i'm sure that made a few people a bit upset, i hope they didn't change too much, haven't gone back through the forums as of yet.
