Need Help Compiling MQ2

I've done exactly what the walk thru says to do up until the part where it tells me to double click on MacroQuest2.sln... when I double click on MacroQuest2.sln nothing happens, it's like the file isn't associated with any program.. Need help PLZ!

the SLN is for .net compiler and will not work with the VS6 compiler. The manual tells you which file to pick for which compiler.
