This is the best UI Mod out in my opinion, thanks guys.


I do have a problem though. I have no autoattack indicator. I'm using Jabber's versions of the files. Is this intended? If not, any ideas?

Switched to the Fryfrog player window and this one works. 8)

Only problem I've been having now with this UI is that for some reason my Rez box is cut off ABOVE the buttons... as in, I cannot click on the buttons (nor can I see them.) Anyway suggestions?

fryfrog and I figured it out... somehow, after I started using Solaria, my UI config file made the height of the accept/decline boxes (all of them) short enough that I could read the message but now show any buttons. Changing it from 120 pixels tall to something more reasonable like 200 fixed it. I have no idea why installing solaria would've affected this, but it did, heh.

I've had this same problem with other UIs, it' s one reason I like sizable boxes. :)

Actually, you are correct. I think the boxes should be sizable and I will probably make the boxes that I modified sizeable. You can always lock the windows.

I will fix the attack indicator as well since I removed it.

REQUEST:
Is it possible to mod the Group window to change the Function Key to a different color for the LDR ? This would really help a lot, instead of making me look around to see who has "LDR" by their name.

Ok, I know the F2 - F6 keys are displayed via the EQUI_GroupWindow.xml file with solwindow_pieces06.tga ... what I don't understand is how to make it light up the Function key that corresponds to the leader.

Obviously, I assume this would be a MQ id tag or something, but I don't know enough to do this myself.

Can anyone show me where to change the XML file to make this work?

I peeked at the .chm file that comes with MQ and it mentions this:
Example
/echo Group Leaders name is: ${GroupLeader.Name}
Echos your group leaders name
Couldn't this be used to alter the Font or Color in the group window?

Welll you could do this for each member in your UI with an IF I'm sure...

something like:

Code: Select all

${If[${GroupLeader.Name}==${Group[${n}].Name},${Group[${n}].Name},]}

Make 5 of these, replacing 'n' with 1-5 (your group member 0) and make it the color you would like to represent the Group Leader.

Now make another 5 like this in a color designated as normal group member:

Code: Select all

${If[${GroupLeader.Name}!=${Group[${n}].Name},${Group[${n}].Name},]}
... again replacing 'n' with 1-5.

Make each of the 1-5 in each case maching up in the same X,Y since they can only be 2 things: Group Leader, or not, there would be no overlapping.


Now I'm pretty sure I've got my code correct.

The ONLY thing that won't work is if the group leader is not in the zone, because as commented in the Readme:
Group leader's name (works even if they are out of zone)
If your unsure how to do all this, I'd be happy to try it in a little bit :)

yes, I'm very noobish when it comes to this stuff. Could you work on it for me? In the meantime, I'm happy with my hotkey that tells me who the group leader is.
