Ok, I realize what /mapfilter is, but how do you get it to show stuff on the map? :) I did /mapfilter all, pressed backspace and looked at my map...nothing was shown. What's the deal! :)

um.. well if you type /mapfilter, and something says hide, its not going to show it. all is just turning on/off the map display system

All i did was load the plugin. Then i did /mapfilter all
If you target something and open the map you should see it on the map now. Seemed to work for me.

/mapfilter pc show
/mapfilter concolor show
/mapfilter corpses show
It's not just /mapfilter all

Ahh, maybe i'm not getting the concept of what /mapfilter does. You have to have something targeted before it shows up on the map? I was **thinking** '/mapfilter all' just showed everything on the map: ground spawns, npcs, pcs, etc...

/mapfilter show all -- this simply enables the map display system, but individual components that you wish to be shown still must be enabled.
/mapfilter XXXX show -- this allows XXXX to be displayed, but it can only be displayed if the system is enabled.
/mapfilter -- this presents all the available options.

We should probably consider removing /mapfilter all or changing it to enable all flags. Since you have to specifically load the map plugin in MQ2, you could consider that as saying you wanted mapping on.
I'll recode mine to do that and post the changes ... once I stop CTD when I load it.

/mapfilter all seems to be a toggle for /mapfilter all show/hide
It works for me on the thanksgiving build.
You can do a /mapfilter npc show and it should show you all the npcs on your map without targeting them first.

/mapfilter all turns on or off the entire mapping system.
In order to get the map to work (from scratch with no MQ2Map.ini), you have to run the following:
/mapfilter all
/mapfilter pc
/mapfilter npc
/mapfilter concolor
By default, everything is set to hide. Toggling mapfilter enables the map features but does not change the default hide behaviour for the other items.

Thanks guys, I will try to do /mapfilter all (to show) and then /mapfilter npc (to show) and see if I can see the NPCs then :)
The explanation given about the /mapfilter all command makes sense now, thanks again.
